Week 4 Assignment, Part 3: Professional Development Plan
Due Week 4

Directions:

1. Complete the assignment. Analyze and evaluate the internship experience to include areas for further professional development. Then design a 3-year professional development plan noting mentors, activities, timelines, and methods of evaluating goal accomplishment. Limit your plan to 3 goals. Most leaders have three goals at any one time.

Under each goal include specific information about who will serve as mentor, books to read, professional development sessions to attend, committees on which to serve, as well as simply a focus on a skill or knowledge area you feel would be beneficial to you. Include the dates or estimated time lines when you plan to work on each goal and an anticipated completion date. Also include an evaluative statement that will signal completion of each goal. For example, one goal could be to learn how to develop a master schedule. Your evaluative statement would be that you have developed a workable master schedule.

2. Upload the document into the course.

3. Then load the document to Tk20 in the course binder. Data from student work in the internship is required by the State and accreditation agencies.  Tk20 is the system Lamar University and many other universities use for this purpose.  Keep in mind that all work stored in Tk20 is available for each student to use if you want to create a personal, professional electronic portfolio.
